TREETECH (1)

WHY WOULD I CHOOSE A FLAX TREETECH SERIES BOARD?

I’ve been actively focussed on creating the most environmentally friendly board currently available. On the Flax TreeTech Series boards I use Biotex Flax. The producers of Biotex Flax have undertaken testing programs and importantly had independent testing done. When compared to other products results show that Biotex Flax provides high level performance, is strong, is safer to handle and critically is better for the environment.

WILL MY BOARD BE HEAVIER?

Compared to glass fibre composites the Flax TreeTech Series boards offer reduced weight but retain comparable strength to traditionally produced boards.

WHAT TYPE OF BLANK IS USED IN THE FLAX TREETECH SERIES BOARDS?

I’m using Marko envirofoam blanks that have a recycled foam content that reduces waste when shaping a board. The blanks are strong and consistent but importantly they add to the Flax TreeTech Series boards being the greenest option currently available.

WHAT ABOUT THE RESIN USED IN THE FLAX TREETECH SERIES BOARDS?

I have chosen to use Entropy resin that create biobased resins that are sustainable and recyclable and add to the desire of creating a green enviro friendly board.

WHAT ABOUT THE FLEX PATTERN IN THESE BOARDS?

The feedback is that the boards are light and lively. I believe the flax and extra glass gives the boards a nicer weight  much like a pro weight PU but it takes away the too light feel.

CAN I GET ART ON THE FLAX TREETECH SERIES BOARDS?

Yes, check out my Instagram page for a wide variety of choices from artists Jonathan Quinton, Sharon Blair and ‘Thank Hofmann’.
